Red ring on death issues My Xbox 360 recently got the dreaded red ring of death, and I’ve tried everything available to fix it. I re-balled the gpu, I’ve heated the ram chips, cpu, and gpu, i pressed on the Hanna chip, I replaced leaky capacitors, I’ve checked the board for missing parts, I’ve cleaned it, I installed red ring of death
Now you can turn on your controller and it should connect to the pc , you can test this by pressing the xbox button. If the controller does not connect then pair it by pressing the pair button on the controller next to the charge port and on the RF board ,next to the ground point. If the light on the brick is red, you probably just need to replace that part. It happened to me once, and the new brick fixed it right up. Grootfan85 •. No it’s not the slim model. It’s the one that looks like the OG release model. thepioushedonist • 2 yr. ago. Ah. Well I'm not sure then.Whenever there is a RROD Jasper it's usually a power supply or hard drive issue. Sometimes it's a blown capacitor but that's not too difficult to fix. Then they moved onto the slim and manufacturing costs were probably far cheaper. Moving from a GPU and CPU to a single XCGPU would have saved them a lot of money.
