Far cry 5 is a main series game, where as new dawn is a spin off of 5. Kind of like how blood dragon was a stand-alone game but was basically dlc for far cry 3. Both games have the same map and weapons for the most part, but new dawn has some new characters and the map has changed visually, being set in a post apocalyptic version of far cry 5s

Fc6's main campaign has a very average story. I agree with the companions take, although I like the chickens and how theres a minigame where you can literally fight chickens that look like ryu and ken from street fighter. Fc6 had a gun that shoots CDs and plays snippets of the macarena song. You can't beat that.

While I do have a number of other problems with this game, I feel that the lackluster gunplay is the biggest thing stopping me from getting truly immersed in the gameplay like I did with Far Cry 4. I really hope Far Cry 6 has more satisfying weapon sounds than this. Far Cry 5 does however have a proper good old fashion M14 model so that's neat.
