As of right now the quest 1 is limited to only 150mb/s of usb 3.0 due to its outdated chipset. Obviously the quest 2 will not have this limit due to the brand new chip it uses, so the Quest2 will almost definitely benefit from the official fiber optic cable, but as to how much is to be determined. 2. As long as it has one usb-c end to plug into the quest it'll work. The anker usb-c powerline cable works. I tried link with the supplied usb 2 cable that came with my quest 1 and that worked, but found the usb 3 (the anker one) got rid of stuttering. So yeah save some dolla and get a cheaper one.
